My First Blog Post: This is what Professionals do

Woman-owned business League City

My business coach asked me to write down everything that excites about my woman-owned business . . . my vision. She encouraged me to describe the passion that drives me, as a professional interior designer, to do what I love to do everyday so I can connect with my inner self.

I have to admit; when she assigned me this “homework” I wasn't thrilled. But, what I learned was that once you are able to realize and connect with what excites you about your passion, you can use that positive energy to reach your goals. As a bonus, by blogging this about my drive I can refer back to it when I need a quick pick-me-up, or a little motivational push as we all sometimes do.  Since we are at the start of a new year, I encourage you to do the same. You might be surprised at what you discover about yourself.

My Imminent Vision

Motivation – the general desire and enthusiasm that maintains your behavior. Setting goals, meeting deadlines and targets, while consistently paying attention to the world around us is what pushes me.  Coincidently, goal setting at the beginning of every project motivates and inspires my design.

My creative mind enjoys collaborating on ideas and process of creating stimulates my endorphins – it’s what I love to do. One thing that motivates me most is starting a new design.  I enjoy learning new things and creating processes to improve something, or make something brand new. #alwayskeeplearning

My Undeniable Passion

Design - seeing my designs come to life is truly my most rewarding obsession.  It’s a gift that I developed early in my childhood.  My mother has been my inspiration, as well as my mentor, and has always encouraged my creativity.  Over time my undeniable passion has grown into what it is today.  My design process involves visualizing and connecting with the actual flow of the home.  I’d have to say my ideal endeavor includes creating a memorable scene that will make a lasting impression.  It’s like telling a story without saying a word.  For me, my passion is for design is like a musician sharing his music with the world.  It’s my cup of morning coffee that gets me out of bed everyday!
